Pakaian Brunei Wedding Cake

327 - I specially made this cake for my niece during her recent wedding. I adorn the cake with the gold accessories worn normally during the customary 'malam bebedak' as part of the traditional Bruneian culture.

The adornment on the side of this cake is part of the head gear and necklace worn by the bride during the 'bebedak' ceremony

The 'gangsa" whic holds the cupcake is a traditional tray used to hold gifts for the bride
This cake design is inspired by the traditional Bruneian Wedding attire. The two tier vanilla cake is filled with buttercream and covered with fondant. It took me weeks to complete the gold accessories, but it was worth it in the end. I am quite happy with the outcome.
